Hampton Barringner Luzak was a creative director’s assistant at BBDO and was part of the team that created memorable adverts for several brands. A casting director at Denise Fitzgerald Casting, Hampton B Luzak has directed several independent feature films.
Film festivals are great opportunities for individual filmmakers to make their works more visible and develop their careers. Independent filmmakers often struggle because they do not have as many resources and access to the media compared to established film companies.
Because film festivals gather a large audience, including some of the leading professionals in the film industry, independent filmmakers are more likely to clinch good distribution deals as well as exposure to some of the industry’s finest.
While taking your work to the cinema helps you to reach a larger audience, and while theaters will help you to network with potential financiers, submitting your film to be showcased at a festival increases your chances of meeting up with some of the best distributors in the industry.

What Makes a House “Historic?”
Hampton Barringer Luzak is a creative professional who has found success in media-related positions that range from news reporting to film casting. Hampton B. Luzak also has a history in house flipping and an interest in historical homes and their preservation.
Although anyone who owns a beautiful old house can call it "historic," to receive an official designation as a historic home, a US property needs to meet a certain set of criteria, as stipulated by the National Register of Historic Places (NRHH). In general, historic homes must be old. Although the NRHH and regional authorities typically expect a historic home to date back at least 50 years, exceptions certainly exist for particularly noteworthy properties.
Other NRHH criteria for historic homes include associations with significant historic events. This includes structures that have personal significance to key historical figures. The NRHH might also consider a home historic if it embodies distinctive characteristics of a certain historical housing style, or if it has the potential to provide important historical information, such as the types of construction materials and methods that local homebuilders used during a particular time period.
